When you strap a little one onto your ride there are some safety issues that you want to be sure and address, besides the obvious like everyone should wear a helmet.
When you mount a seat on your ride, you have some things that must be examined before you and your little one set off over the horizon.

It is important to realize that having the extra weight of a little one on your ride will effect where the center of gravity is. It's vital that you have a high quality, strong ride with a robust frame, at the very least; to insure both you and your little one will be safe.

Jonquil Williams is the national examiner for a respected bicycle NGO working to help make sure that bikers remain safe and sound and don't forget some basic safety rules.

?Make sure that you are a capable rider as the centre of gravity is higher and how your ride operates and feels will change,? said Jonquil Williams.
?Make sure that when you start out, that you are paying attention, don't reach around to grab something or get out something, that is often when the ride will tip over and can be tricky,? said Jonquil Williams.

Choose the route that you take carefully, and try to stay off major roads as often they have a lot of confusion that make bicycling with a little one on board difficult and hazardous. ?If you are able to take quieter side routes it is likely the better thing for you and for your little one,? said Jonquil Williams.
