Pregnancy is a natural condition which involves certain changes in women's body, behaviour and even lifestyle. Moreover, pregnancies vary from woman to woman, some women may have an easy period of pregnancy and on the other hand some women may face complications and need to be supervised by a doctor during their pregnancy.

First of all, women who find out that are pregnant should be ready for the next period of 9 months, they need to find a specialist in order to have a medical support during the pregnancy, they should learn about their condition and how to take care of themselves and the unborn baby and moreover pregnant women need to make some changes in their lifestyle, such as giving up drinking alcohol or smoking.

Furthermore, a normal period of pregnancy is about 40 weeks. This time is divided into three periods of time called semesters and in each semester things happen to the woman's body and the baby. So, pregnant women may face natural emotional changes such as anxiety, fear about pregnancy and childbirth.

In the first semester, the baby who is still a tiny cells starts to develop and its heart begin to beat. Moreover, the first pregnancy symptoms that women usually face or not are: period stops or becomes light; some women may feel nausea and cannot eat certain foods and on the other hand many women feel the desire to eat foods that they never liked before. Other specific prgnancy symptoms are the swollen and tender breasts, the nipples and the area around them get darker, frequent urination, pregnant women feel tired and have headches and in some cases women may experience emotional shifts and mood swings, such as sadness or happiness out of the blue, fear and others. Moreover, in the first semester of pregnancy some women may develop complications which can lead to the loss of the baby. So, if a woman is diagnosed with a complicated pregnancy, she should follow a certain treatment and be careful during the pregnancy.

In the second semester, the embryo tends to seem more like a baby, the child has eyebrows, eyelashes, fine hair, can even move his/her hands and can kick with the legs the mother's tummy. In addition to this, in this semester, women may notice other symptoms, such as weight gain, the breast get bigger, the feet, ankles, and face may swell, some women my experience nosebleeds and also varicose veins.

The third semester tends to be risky too, the pregnant woman should take care in order to avoid a premature delivery. In this last stage of the pregnancy, the belly is quite visible, the navel pushes out, the baby can be seen moving from the outside and because of the big belly, women can suffer from backaches and may have difficulties in walking or moving fast.

All in all, pregnancy is a unique moment in every woman's life and the three semesters bring new changes and new exeperinces in the mother's life. By following a proper diet and taking into consideration the doctor's advice, a future mother can have an easy pregnancy and a healthy baby.
