First make sure that you wear layers. 40 degrees standing still feels like 20 when you are riding a motorcycle. Second, gloves are very important the gloves that you wear all summer will not cut it in cold weather. You will want to go for warmer gloves that are a lot thicker and taller then racing gloves. You might even want to consider electric gloves which tourmaster makes. The electric gloves are very warm and come with a temperature control to keep your hands toasty.

And the Third suggestions would be . Stay away from textile jackets and head toward the leather. Textile jackets are great for the warmer weather as they allow air to flow through to keep you cool.
