[M716]Motorcycle Boots For Men
by Carl Willis, Car
The first item that needs to be considered when choosing a pair of riding boots is the composition of the sole. The rider's feet act as a stabilizing platform at traffic lights, intersections and other stopping situation; therefore, it is critical that footing be solid. To give the best footing stability, the sole of the rider's boots should be made of an oil resistant, non-slip material. The rider is likely to encounter motor oil, anti-freeze and air conditioner condensation on the road surface. These substances can wreak havoc with the motorcycle rider's stationary stability.

The next item of importance is a reinforced top leather over the toes. Over time, the constant strain of shifting can create bruising and other painful conditions with the toes and top of the foot. A well built riding boot will often have a shifter pad on the top of the boot for added comfort and protection. Most motorcycle boots come with a reinforced toe as added protection for the rider's feet.

The protection of the rider's ankle makes the riding boot a perfect choice of riding footwear. The motorcycle rider's ankle is susceptible to burns from the engine, and exhaust pipes, not to mention severe injury if the motorcycle is laid down. The design of a riding boot gives protection by covering skin and maintains stability of the ankle under duress.

A good riding boot will also eliminate free hanging shoe laces. A free hanging shoe lace has the potential of getting caught on the shifter or brake pedal lever. On a chain driven bike, a loose shoe lace could have even more dire effects to rider and machine. Riding boots generally come without laces or a system that covers and holds the laces in place.

In most cases the helmet is considered the primary piece of safety equipment, but the sure footing of the right footwear in many ways can be equally as important.

Motorcycle boots are vitally important for bikers because they protect the feet and ankles from damage during crashes, and they also protect these extremities from the heat that comes out of the bikes when they are in motion. There are many different types of motorcycle boots for men and for women depending on the different types of riding they might be doing. And while these motorcycle boots provide a great deal of protection from the elements, they also provide a great deal of style for the rider.
Most motorcycle boots are made out of leather due to the ultimate protection and durability that this ages old material offers. This is the same reason that many motorcycle jackets are made out of leather. It is necessary for motorcycle boots to cover the ankles, but some also go all the way up the calf. They are typically laced up, and some of them also have metal buckles or side zippers to be sure that they stay in place. They also come with cushioned feet for comfort, adjustable straps, oil-resistant soles and oil-resistant heels.
Most bikers take their motorcycle boots pretty seriously, because they are a staple of the fashion style that this sport/hobby is known for. While motorcycle helmets are only worn when the biker is riding, the boots can be worn before, during and after rides, and if they are stylish enough they can be worn all over town. Most people prefer their motorcycle boots to be black with silver metal accents, as this is the biker style. In some cases they are also made of brown leather, but they do not typically come in all the bright colors that biker jackets do.
Motorcycle boots are very important for safety and for style, but they also ensure comfort for the rider. When you live to ride, you can't leave home without them.
