If you enjoy traveling to exotic places, you must know the basic customs of the country. Prepared travelers have more fun! Get yourself a planning guide and familiarize yourself with the area you want to visit first. If you are going to Mexico for a vacation in the Sun, here is a checklist of tips to make your trip go smoothly:
1. Make sure you have a photo Identification Card (such as a passport or a driver's license), your tourist card (which is proof of your permission to visit Mexico), and your proof of citizenship.
2. Learn to speak Spanish.
Spanish is the main language spoken in Mexico. Although some residents can communicate in and understand English, Spanish is still the language spoken for trade and commerce. Spanish is easy to learn and once you have been familiarized with the sentence construction, you can easily converse with the locals using an English/Spanish dictionary.
3. Take note of the following items that are allowed to be brought into Mexico:
* Personal clothing, footwear and toiletries in practical quantities * Magazines and books * Personal medicines and prescriptions * Used sporting equipment, fishing equipment or tennis rackets * One portable TV and VCR and one typewriter * Cassettes and records, not exceeding 20 * One still camera and movie camera, and no more than twelve rolls of film * A musical instrument * No more than three liters of alcohol-containing beverages, and 50 cigars or 400 cigarettes, provided the tourist is over eighteen years old
4. Before entering Mexico, there are two forms to be filled out. It is better to have a black pen for these. The first one is the temporary visa. The second form is for the Customs and Taxation called Hacienda. These are usually distributed at the airline ticket counter or while on the plane.
5. Although there are businesses that accept foreign currency, make sure that you still have some of your dollars exchanged for the Mexican peso. Credit cards with MasterCard, Visa and AmEx logo are also accepted. Bring traveler's checks for safe access to more money.
6. Store photocopies of your tickets and a list of traveler's checks in a location different than the original documents.
7. Drink bottled water or sufficiently boiled water. Never drink tap water under any circumstances. Before eating fruits and vegetables, wash these in a purifying solution, peel them and cook them.
Make your trip to Mexico a safe and enjoyable one. Follow these tips and your vacation will be pleasant and memorable!

Time for another vacation! You have made all the arrangements. You are going to the beautiful beaches of Mexico for so deep sea fishing during the day and some heavy partying in the evening. Everything is set, but there is one thing missing ? accommodations. Yes, there are copious numbers of hotels and motels, but you are wanting something more. Perhaps you want the freedom of not having neighbors on the other side of the wall or maybe you are just wanting your own beachfront villa. Finalizing your vacation or holiday plans may be as simple as finding that perfect Mexican vacation rental.
Many people do not realize how easy or affordable it is to get a Mexican vacation rental. There s nothing complicated about this process, and when you realize how easy and affordable it really is, you will wonder why you have never rented your own villa before.
Not only is it easy, but the results are fabulous. You get the added benefits of privacy and seclusion with your property, but there is so much more!
What do you get when you purchase a Mexican vacation rental for your own?
Full amenities are just a step away! You can have your own full kitchen set with pots, pans, utensils, and sometimes, even a fresh selection of foods for you to whip up your own masterpieces. You will also find you get a television, DVD player, full sets of linens, and so much more. These rentals are designed to allow you to easily step into the property with everything ready for you to just relax and enjoy your vacation or holiday.
Full support is right around the corner! Many of these rentals will come with a maid too. This means you do not have to take time to clean the kitchen at the end of the day. Just allow these professional maids or cleaners to come on in when the morning comes and you will have a clean house that is as good as new. You are on vacation! Why spend it cleaning the mess the kids make?
Full privacy is yours! Motels and hotels are nice, but you want to have your privacy. How is your holiday going to be spent if you happen to be sandwiched in between two sets of honeymooners? How will your privacy be when you have partiers celebrating a holiday down the hall from you all weekend? Getting a Mexican vacation rental of your own means no honeymooners ruining your honeymoon, and no partiers unless you invite them of course.
Full potential is a reality! When you experience your most out of a vacation or holiday, you will find that that is the stuff dreams are made of. You will have gotten the most for your time and money. A good Mexican vacation rental is going to allow you to concentrate on what it is you want to do instead of what you feel you need to do. Relax, sprawl out on the beach, and enjoy your strawberry margarita with the full realization that this is the vacation you will remember for the rest of your life.
