Nowadays, polygamy is not widely practiced in most Christian world. It seems that there is a consensus in these countries it is not the universal norm. As a result, practices of polygamy have almost disappeared. The notion of monogamy has become this universal norm. It may be due to the increased sophistications in society and legal system.

Although more countries are supporting monogamy, there are still some cultures which advocate the notion of polygamy. One of these cultures is the teaching of Mormon Church. In fact, the Mormon Church encourages polygamy openly. Besides, the Church of the Latter Day Saints was also one of the advocates. And they encouraged this until 1890.

Apart from the above, the Jewish community is also an advocate of polygamy. This is mainly because a major part of Jewish community is in fact Muslim societies, which practice polygamy. Of course Muslims are cultures which have this practice. However, the men should treat all the wives fairly. Considering Muslims in India, men are also allowed to have more than one wife while the Hinduism is now practicing monogamy. As a matter of fact teachings of Hinduism would allow men to have more than a wife.

There are still many people who are practicing polygamy in some African cultures. But there are more countries in Africa start reconsider if they should practice this due to the fact that HIV is spreading quickly presently. So why was this practiced in Africa in the past? In fact there are a lot of different reasons for that. In the past, the infant mortality rate was very high and as a result polygamy was encouraged. Besides, since people were heavily relying on agriculture and manpower became something very important. To this end polygamy can be a solution since it can help to breed more children to work for the family.

The last reason, which may probably the most important one, is about the social status of men in Africa. The social status of men in African society, was measured by their wealth, as well as the number of wives. Of course the number of children is also one of the factor that counts. As a consequence men would tend to have more than one wife.

In ancient times, polygamy was practices in various cultures and societies. However, more societies are not practicing monogamy nowadays. This is mainly because in the situation presently, the economic and social situations are more complex and it will be quite impossible for a man to marry a few wives and take care a few families. It is likely that monogamy will become the practice which rules the society in the future.

In this fast paced world, where everybody are not able to make haste. Time-tied with top priorities in making money for a living? Everybody deserves a break from the hassles an bustles of life. It is not advisable for one to go home and just sit in the boring corners of a lonely room watching boring television shows. Sometimes loneliness kills and boredom sucks! Why not get a life?

People think that striving to be happy is just about having all the material things. Well sad to say that you are definitely wrong! Meeting people are just making our life complete. It gives us satisfaction about life, thus making one aspect of our life fulfilling and complete.

This world is full of people who have different challenges to face each and every single day of their lives. As we live, we meet various people with different with different traits and characteristics. Each one is born unique! It is good to meet new acquaintance for a whole new experience! No man is an island!

If you are bored on your lonely crib, it would be nice to go out for a walk if you prefer to have a little exercise and breathing for a fresh air. Believe me it can release tension and will give you time to think well, and ponder on the things that you have been up to.

Wandering around the block you can find a lot of people passing by. You might want to go to the park or hang out in a local bar. These places can let you meet people from all walks of life. Or chat with the bartender, persons who are willing to listen to their customer's joys and dilemmas, also a lot of attractive women in the house that you can talk to.

If you want to meet lots of people, get out from your shell, try to be confident and act normally without pretensions, so that others may know you from the start. First impression counts! Through a friends, relatives or families, you can also meet others. Being shy and aloof gets you nowhere. The more you act naturally, the more people will be appreciative of you.

Get new acquaintance and build friendship. Everything usually starts from friendship, especially a date.

Don't be hesitant to ask someone for a date. Plan and prepare for it. You have to be ultimately ready, financially and physically. Make our date worth remembering, offer flowers and good compliments will take you one step higher. Everybody wants to be treated special, you know.

Traditional and conventional way to meet people is good and fun. But the world is full of innovations and the most popular medium for forming interpersonal relationships is through the Internet. This is also a safe way to interact and and expand social network.
