There's tons of different choices when choosing a spice rack. In fact, there's probably just as many different spice racks as there are spices. Finding one that fits your home, you, and your style can be difficult. Consider these following different options when looking for a spice rack.
1. Where are you putting it? When deciding where to put it, you have a few options. Whether in the pantry, in a cabinet, on your counter, or hanging from the wall, finding out where you'll put it will help to narrow the choices. You definitely want it in a spot that will be handy when cooking. If your counter space is limited, try finding one that you can hang on the wall.
2. Spices: With or without? Some spice racks come with spices, some don't. Buying a spice rack that already comes with spices is nice, since you won't have to go buy spices. The spices come in the same package as the spice rack.
If you buy a spice rack with spices in it, it will come with the usual spices. If you often use spices that don't come with it, you'll be better off getting a spice rack with the empty containers, so you can fill them with your own spices.
3. Will It Hold All of My Spices? Do you use a bunch of spices? Then make sure to get a spice rack that will be able to hold all of those spices. There are also some spice racks that are smaller, in order to save space, if you really don't use that many spices.
4. Is It a Spice Rack that You Like? Ultimately, it has to be a spice rack that you love. If it's ugly but suits your purposes, it's still not a good spice rack, because you'll hate it, and probably end up replacing it. Make sure you buy one that you love, and that fits your other criteria, and you'll be happy with your spice rack purchase.
Make sure that you get what you want when getting a spice rack. Nothing is worse than something in your kitchen that you don't like. Don't just settle for something when getting a spice rack, get the one you like.
