Just pocket the money and sort out the stuff you want to keep and donate the rest or better yet, sell it at a garage sale or ebay!

Just handle the calls you get by saying you will clean out their closets and haul away any unwanted clothing (and other stuff if you prefer) for a low flat rate. Make sure you tell them you won't haul away outright garbage. The people that call you will vary, just remember even if 75% of the stuff you clean out will not fit you or your family, it can be given away or sold to someone else.
