Ignore your target clients…NOT!
If you don’t want anybody buying your products and services then totally ignore your target audience. Your target market is not important to your marketing campaign anyway.

In the real world, knowing who your target clients are is the very first step to starting your marketing campaign. Everything you work on during your planning process is founded on the premise that you have a target audience to whom you promote your business.

Don’t have a plan…NOT!
Who needs plans anyway? Just start your ad campaign. You don’t need to have a budget to begin your promotions. And you don’t even need to know where the right places to advertise. Just go ahead and start promoting.

In the real world, a well conceived and thought-of plan is the start of a successful marketing campaign. Your plan is significant because it helps customize your advertising promotions by identifying your target clients and knowing where you need to market your business.

Your plan also gives you the chance to work on your budget and make sure that you are right on schedule. This is particularly significant when launching campaigns. A word of advice, make sure you know your printer enough such that you're confident that your flyer or postcard printing orders are on time.

Avoid the Pros…NOT!
While you’re at it, why not save your money along the way. Professional promoters are very costly. It won’t be much different anyway if you do your own marketing materials.

But the truth is, professionals and experts are made by experience.
They did not become experts in their fields for nothing. That is why you hire them to do a great job for you.

Though you may save a lot if you do it on your own; nevertheless, a marketing campaign can look unprofessional when it’s not done the way it should be. It would badly reflect on your business, which, of course, would mean losing the sales.

Provide a different ad campaign everytime…NOT!
Your marketing campaign doesn’t need consistency. You can create different materials with different tag lines, logos, and message each time. You need to know what would be successful for your target market.

Consistency is a must in the real world of marketing. If you want to junk everything you’ve worked for, then go ahead and provide a different look for each of your promotional materials.

Inconsistency in your materials only makes your target readers see how unprofessional you are. The same logo, tag line, message and colors in all your ads provide easier retention and recognition of your business.

Provide a One-Time Ad…NOT!
You have a great marketing campaign so you only need to run it just once. People are going to recognize you right away with your great-looking ad material.

In the real world, frequency is the name of the game. How often you run your ad makes a big difference on how successful your campaign will be.

Consistency and frequency makes it easier for your target audience to retain your message, as well as recognize your brand. A one-time ad just won’t do. Don’t be afraid to be redundant. You need to run your ad many times if you really want to get clients to see you.

These are the things you can do for your marketing campaign…if you want to blow it all away. In a parallel world maybe these tricks can really do you a lot of good. But in reality, you need hard work and perseverance, as well as the opposite of all these things to make a success of your ad.
