Requesting specific housekeeping services and learning about your hotel's amenities and complimentary services can ward off any potential problems from the start. Here are some other ways to ensure you make the most of housekeeping and hotel amenities on your next vacation:

1. Don't hold back from tipping. If you leave a tip and a note during your stay as a ?reward? for the housekeeping staff, you may be treated with better service throughout your stay. Avoid waiting until the end of your trip to share some positive notes or feedback about the services.

2. Use the ?Do Not Disturb? sign as often as you think you need it. Many hotel guests think they must have sheets and towels changed by a housekeeper, but in most cases, you can just ask for a set of fresh sheets and towels and do take care of the room change yourself.
