by Jamie Hanson, Jam
Puy Saint Vincent is part of the Grande Galaxie Ski Area. Because of that, it is possible to access over 200 runs or trails as one ski pass allows you to ski and snowboard any of the La Grave, Les Deux Alpes, Briancon or Serre Chevalier ski resorts. Some pistes are above 2500 meters, thereby making skiing and snowboarding (in the snow park) conditions possible for a much longer season than on the lower runs.

There's 60 km of down hills and an equal number of cross-country trails in the resort. Snowboarders will find a fun park fully equipped with jumps and slides. With over 15 ski lifts and one going as high as 2750 meters, you days will certainly be full! The bigger part of the resort's residences and hotels are at an altitude of around 1400 meters. It has been a well kept secret among ski vacationers for quite some time now. And conditions are perfect for joyful and singular exterior activities. Try paragliding or, if you prefer to have both your feet on the ground, then try a snowshoe trail adventure or a dog sled ride. If you are in need of flat surfaces after spending hours going up and down, try the outdoor ice skating rink. And if you like motor sports, then you can go on quad or snowmobile rides. You can also go ice cascades (waterfalls) climbing. In short, if you want your days to be fuller than full with various assorted outdoor activities, then Puy Saint Vincent is the place to pick for your next ski holidays. When Junior is ready to try your favourite sport, there are some great nursery runs for beginners in the resort. There are also a few good ski schools to choose from. If most of the slopes are for the middle-grade, intermediate skiers and experts alike will have a few days of good runs. Honestly, there might not be enough runs to keep a family of six fully challenged for more than a week though but since Puy Saint Vincent is bordering the Les Ecrins National Park, the whole family will indeed find interesting additional activity options there.
