Before I found my current work at home opportunity, I too came across too many ads that looked to good to be true. I am still astonished at some of the ads I come across today, when I am researching products for my website. However, in retrospect, not all situations are bad. There are many good work at home opportunities that are legitimate business opportunities. You're not going to make a million dollars in one year, your not even going to make $100,000.00 your first year. Those are the advertisements you want to stay away from.
When I decided to start my work at home business, I chose a pre-designed website. I did not know anything about designing one myself, but knew that was an important asset for my business. I researched it, before I choose it. I found that it is used by thousands of individuals to run their home business situations and that it is a legitimate business. I had choices to decide if I wanted to be affiliated with the programs on the site - it was not a requirement - it was a choice. During my research, I found that the company is ran by real people, people that answer your emails, people that you can call on the phone,. They are sources that one would need to have a successful home business. Not like Angle, the actress in the news broadcast.
I received a call from my sponsor immediately, a real person, so I knew I had made the right decision. For those of us who have been in business a lot of years and who help others establish their businesses, we do this through training, information and mentoring.
Mainly, I want you to know that not all situations online are bad. You do have to do your research. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

1. You can do a Google search for articles to check out the company behind the offer to see if there are complaints against the company you are considering working for before signing up
2. When you cannot easily get in touch with someone from the company it is best to avoid that so called opportunity. Even when you do get in touch, realize there are ways to make things appear legal. Get a phone number where you can call them, preferably a customer support phone number - then call them back.
3. Shy away from offer that appears to be too good to be true it probably is. You are never going to make one million dollars in your first year with any program - just be realistic.
4. Do not auto respond, give yourself time to decide, If you have a feeling indicating this is not a good choice for you, trust that feeling. A feeling like this is likely the best indicator.
Make good choices, set your goals and you can have a real work at home job. Do not be disillusioned by the 20/20 New broadcast, do your research.
