[B289]Bedroom Furniture And Bedding
by Ben Weissman, Ben

Everyone has different taste, and that often gets in the way of decorating your home after marriage. You each like different colors and styles, and the one room that should be your own private love nest becomes the object of bitter design battles. How can you work together to choose your bedroom furniture and accents so that you are both happy with the results?

Of course, the first word that comes to mind is compromise, which makes most people roll their eyes in disgust. To be honest, compromise is not always the right way to go. If you compromise, each party often ends up uncomfortable with some aspect of the design. He hates the ruffled curtains, and she hates the stately wrought iron beds and armchairs. There are better ways to go about coming to an agreement on your bedroom accents.

While it sounds like a difficult task, you should really consider nixing any ideas from either party that irritate the other. Instead, you need to focus on common likes and dislikes. This can be a long and tedious process, but you will come to a point where you can determine what will please you both. For example, neither of you likes the color pink, so there will be no rose, lilac, or other shade of pink in the comforter, on the pillows, or anywhere else in your bedroom. However, after browsing several catalogs offering metal bed furniture, wooden headboard accents, and every brass canopy bed you can imagine, and walking through several furniture and accessory stores, you find that you both like rust colored accents. Now, you can find a bed skirt and perhaps matching window shades in this color that please you both.

It would not be fair for neither of you to have at least one item that you really wanted. Therefore, if you cannot both agree on this item, the single compromise you incorporate into your bedroom furniture and accent motif could be a particular photograph that you like and an old, ragged blanket with which your spouse refuses to part. These can always be put out of the immediate view of the opposing party so that neither of you become irritated with the items in question.

The point of having a bedroom together is to be able to relax and be comfortable together, enjoying each other's company and establishing intimacy. If you are constantly at odds regarding the type of beds, dressers, chests and other decoration in your bedroom, you will obviously never achieve such a status. In order to arrive at such an agreeable status, you may have to stretch your imagination beyond what you would normally find appealing, but love is blind, right? You should be able to look beyond your limits and obtain a new perspective that will allow you to venture into uncharted territory.

Eventually, if you are patient and loving toward each other, you will come to an agreement regarding your bedroom accents. While you may end up with something totally different than what you pictured in the beginning, you are sure to find accents that you can both appreciate to make your own little heaven a relaxing place to be more intimate together.

Lots of people say bedroom furniture can't be complete without the pillow. The major function of the pillow is to provide a support and cushion your head. It gives you a better and more interesting sleep. The amount of comfort that you derive from your pillow depends on how much fill it has and the material utilized to pack it. The material influences how much it does its job.

Your bedroom vanity could be made from variety of types of wood. There are lots of lovely woods that can last for as long as you want it to. Teak is one type; Mahogany is another type of wood while rose wood is another one. They always remain elegant and they match with any other type of bedroom furniture that you may have for your bedroom designs.

For a small bed room the designer can utilize mirrors to create the hint of space if he or she is good. A small bedroom with little space can be designed to look bigger than it actually is. You will get to see your reflection every where and you will keep seeing a huge space rather than a tight and uncomfortable room.

Different Cool colors such as blues, green and lavenders are perfect for bedroom furniture. Psychologists believe that these colors are really calming. They create deep seated feelings of peace and tranquility.

I learned a long time ago that color green is the best color for the eyes. That may be a personal idea, but that is what I have seen from experience. The green color green signifies fertility and healing. Green, violet and blue all get thumbs up for relaxation. You can try them in your bedroom furnishing to see the result for yourself.

One of the major problems individuals face when they go out to shop for their bedroom furniture is which ones to buy from the vast array of beautiful bedroom furniture available. To help you make the decision, do not think of just the beauty of the bedroom furniture on it's own, but look for which ones will complement the color scheme of your bedroom.

If you can afford to, I highly recommend allocating good money to make your bedroom look very lovely. In most times, the kind of bedroom furniture you use will determine how beautiful, attractive and romantic your bedroom will look.

When purchasing for new bedroom furniture, it is important for you to know exactly what you want and what you can afford before getting started. In means, always have a budget so that you do not overspend and get yourself into some financial problems. With the a lot of beautiful bedroom furniture out there, you might be tempted to purchase more than what you budgeted for. Do not do it!
