Are the Adsense ads for "Affiliates: $537 per Day - Quit Your Job With ClickBank" for real? Wait a minute - I hope you aren't thinking you could go quit your day job so you can be an affiliate marketer. If so, here is why I recommend that you don't: * Affiliate marketing is volatile - You have no way of knowing where the market is going to go in six months, a year, or five years. Just because you managed to make $5,000 last month does not mean that its going to stay that way. Websites fluctuate in traffic, popularity, and relevance all the time- Ive had sites that were making $200 a day drop to less than $10 a day for seemingly no reason. It will take work, patience, persistence, and a bit of ingenuity to ensure that your income continues to grow. Until youve got $10,000 in a bank account and all of your expenses paid, do not quit your day job. Why throw away a solid income for hopes and dreams? * Competition is the name of the game with Affiliate Marketing. You won't even be able to tell your friends or family the name of your websites for fear of competition. Competition that will take away from your income, and when you are spending money to make money it will really cut into your profits. Affiliate Marketing can be done from anywhere there is an internet connection. Your competition will come from the other side of the world or the opposite hemisphere wherever the internet is available. Are you happy with this competition? If not, don't quit your day job. * Affiliate marketing moves fast. It doesn't take long to either lose money or to make it. As soon as the traffic comes in you have to be on top of things to make any necessary corrections. You can't hang around the water cooler expecting things to change. Affiliate marketing requires you attention 24 hours a day. No weekends off either. Having said all that, I need to fess up that I am a full time Affiliate Marketer myself I'll give you some reasons why I took up Affiliate Marketing full time: 1. Affiliate marketing is lucrative - There is no other business where you can start up and make $500 that day. My first website made me over $10,000 in profit over the course of four months, and it was little more than eight pages of text and a few images. If you can find a way to get people to do what you want them to youll be able to make limitless amounts of cash. 2. Affiliate marketing is evolving - This is a business that is never the same from day to day. If you love trying out new things and seeing what works and what doesnt, affiliate marketing is for you. Youll be able to see marketing methods and sales techniques change on a day to day basis, and if youre good enough, youll be leading the pack. 3. Affiliate Marketing is TONS of Fun. It is hard not to enjoy being able to get up when I want, run errands, get my hair cut, come home and set up new marketing programs, check my stats and grin at my bank account. The knowledge that I'm being paid to loaf really makes life interesting. Did I mention it is fun? The reality is that an offline job is a reliable, steady income. If you are making some money as an affiliate, why not continue to supplement your offline income and grow your online income? Until it comes down to the day where youre making $8,000 or more a month online, stick to your day job.
What does that mean? When we are growing up, we are never taught how to make money. We are taught to "get a good job". We are taught that to make any money, we need to go to college. Although it is true that you need education to succeed, most people never achieve their potential.
What does a "good job" mean? For most people it means that they can pay their bills and maybe have enough money to go on vacation once a year. If this is what it means to you, then don't bother reading any further, you'll just waste your time. But if you want a career that will get you off the ground, then read on!
Employers pay employees not what their worth, but what their worth to their employer. What's the difference? Example : A car mechanic works on your car, you look at the sign that states a mechanic charge of $45./hour. If you asked the mechanic what he makes an hour, he'd probably say he earns $15/hour.
What does that tell you. It's a simple truth. For an employee to work for a company, he has to be an asset not only to himself, but a much greater asset to the company he works for. He has to be worth 3x what he's being paid. If he's not, he's a liability and will be laid off or fired.
If that's the case, where does the "extra money" go? Where do you think? Into the pockets of the employers. If you do a "great" job, that means you are far exceeding the employers expectations and may be making 4 to 5 times what you're being paid, you might get a "quarter" raise. Your helping to make the employer rich. You're helping accomplish the employers goals. Good Job! In most cases, this makes no sense. (The reason I say "most", is because if you work for a government agency, the perks and benefits usually far outweigh the fact that your working for an employer)
Even in sales, there is a direct relation of what you sell to how much money you make. Most sales people hope for a 10 (and that's if your not splitting commissions with another agent), on cars, its down to 1-2%.
Working for someone else is like paying rent. When you pay rent, you're actually paying the owners mortgage for them just for staying there. If you leave, the owner doesn't care, he'll find someone else to pay his mortgage for him, and after all these people pay his mortgage, he owns the property.
Is there a better way? I hope so, or I just wasted a lot of time writing this article. But first, let me ask you this question? Do you really want to succeed, or are you just fine "getting by"? If the answer is you really want to succeed, then you need to change your way of thinking. Instead of thinking in terms of where can I get a good job, start thinking in terms of what can I do to really start making money. The most obvious answer is to open your own business. Try to IPC business.
But I don't know how to run a business, you say. The first time anyone does anything, they don't know how to do it. It takes time, training and learning. And it doesn't matter what age you are, 16 or 60, what color you are, what race you are, what background you came from, rich or poor, healthy or sick, weak or strong, anyone can do it.
What kind of business should I open? That choice is totally up to you. One of the "easiest" businesses to open is an internet business. There are several good companies online that will help you make money from home, even if you're disabled. One of the best ones is IPC (Independent Profit Center). They have complete training for the online business right on their website. They do not advertise independently. In other words, you are not competing for business with the company themselves, and you can work at your own pace.
Does it cost money to join? There's an old saying, "You can't get something good for nothing". The same holds true here. First of all, nobody is going to help you without compensation, in any profession. And secondly, if you're investing your own money into the program, you'll be a lot more serious about it. Knowledge is power. If you want the knowledge, you've gotta pay for it.
How much time does it take to start? That's totally up to you. The more time you invest in the IPC Program, the faster it will get off the ground and start making you money. How much money you make is totally determined by how motivated you are. You truly are in control of your own destiny. And you really get paid what your worth, not what someone else decides your worth. Wouldn't it be nice, as in the case of the mechanic above, that you earned the whole $45, instead of just earning $15?
What if I get stuck or don't understand how to do something? The President and CEO of IPC, Dan Miller, and his staff, spend each day helping people just like you with problems. You will also have a sponsor that you can call anytime for support.
