[R309]Reviews Of Transformers 2
by Clark Swihart, Cla
So, you want Jeff Blemaster’s point of view on the recently released Transformers Movie.  I don’t blame you.
I heard mixed reviews from my friends about Transformers.  I walked into Transformers thinking that the movie was going to be weak.  I was expecting a lot of hype and no plot.
To my surprise, the movie was so packed I couldn’t even sit with my friend TJ, we had to sit in separated seats.  The movie starts, I am waiting to be blown over with over the top special effects.  Instead I was introduced to a great movie, the set up was great, the dramatic need was set and the girl was hot!  The first 20 minutes was great and then….it took a turn for the worse.  The perfect start was continuously stabbed and mutilated with a myriad of unbelievable subplots that weren’t necessary and didn’t work.  The kid is being chased by his car, takes off on his mom’s pink bike and happens to run into the girl he desires, she decides oddly enough that she is going to leave her friends and jump on her moped and follow...wasn’t buy it.  The chased by your car part was fine for me, it was the mom’s pink bike and the girl pursuing him on her moped afterward that didn’t work for me.  Another thing that happened throughout the movie that was unbelievable was the Transformers would have been able to catch the kid they were after without effort, there would be no chase scene…not for more than 10 seconds.   I also did not find it believable that the Transformers couldn’t hurt humans, not even to protect themselves.  Survival always prevails for all creatures.
So…if you ask Jeff Blemaster, The special effects were good, of course, for the crazy cash put into the movie.  The girl was hot! That was important since the movie was 3 hours long.  I thought the movie was a’ight.  Thumbs up or thumbs down?  1 up, 1 down.   To my surprise, there was a standing ovation by the whole audience at the end of the movie.  I couldn’t believe it for 2 reasons.  1, there’s not a live cast to hear them clapping so clearly they’re out of their minds and 2, it wasn’t good enough to be that passionate.  Signing off….’til next time.  Jeffrey Blemaster
