[R397]Rooms With Hot Tub
by John Lewis, Joh
I have tried all sorts of things Heat, Frozen peas and packs of Ice (my thanks to those helpful people who let me have the ice packs) but the Hot Tub seems to have been the best so far. It has limproved my shoulder very considerably but I did use it carefully as the water pressure can be strong.

I was very impressed by this outstanding Hot Tub it being much deeper than most so that the lovely warm water easily engulfs one shoulders.

It's interesting how differently some people market Hot Tubs. Some say the magic words equal to 24 Jets so does that mean it does not have 24 jets but the vendor thinks it's equal to 24 Jets. Sounds a bit like bending the trade description in my book

Or to put it another way it's just gibberish - either it's got the number of jets or it does not. This is a very important point as prices of Hot Tubs have a direct relation to the number of actual jets as obviously the more jets - the more pipe work - the more labour and the more expensive they become. Well yes that's fair but what they do is when they say equal to 24 Jets its probably got only 8 Jets with 3 revolving jets built in so in reality 8 Jet Tub gets described as 24 and commands a 24 jet price. Hmmmmmmm

The other thing that stands out is that some makers make unbranded versions of their products. They tend to be much cheaper made products produced to lower standards I geuss to meet much reduced costs of production and that's why they are unbranded the manufacturer does not want to admit that it's his product. Usually these are described with out reference to the power of the motors as are they usually considerably underpowered. Thats where big savings can be made by the manufacturer at the consumers expense.

You usually get what you pay for so less money can mean fewer features

When you start with the cheapest way to build spas (full foam), it is very much like day following night and can create a house of cards falling down more often than not as these Spas generally fall short in many other areas as well. A full foam spa also makes it more or less impossible to fix if it has a leak from with in the foam.

As with most things it always pays to buy a product made by a well established manufacturer who has been in the business for some time.

For thousands of years warm water has been a great relief for many of the ailments that the rich fabric of life brings. In ancient Times in Egypt, Greece & Rome it was a very common practice to enjoy long hot soaks, not only was it considered to be a ritual but much more than that it was known to help bring relief from the very many aches and pains of life.

In those days there were small water pools which had warm water piped into them from natural hot springs. We still have those today but these usually smell of sulphur and are not always pleasant. The belief which I do not accept for one moment is that it is only natural hot springs that have any beneficial healing effect as the chemicals in these pools are supposed to have magical cures, but it is in fact just the warm water that does the trick! A modern Hot Tub with the latest fully adjustable water and air jets is in my view much superior to a natural hot spring.

A factory Hot tub I am afraid does not have the thousand year old setting but it is undoubtedly wonderful therapy, and the water is better for your skin. As soon as you immerse yourself in a Hot Tub and enjoy the warm spa water, it causes two very beneficial physiological events to take place in your body.

Firstly of these, which is a scientific fact, is that it makes the capillaries in the body to increase thereby providing an increased blood flow to through your body and of course to your skin. Naturally an increased blood flow blood means better circulation and of course with goes the life force that makes up the Human Body with the nutrients that we need to maintain life.

Secondly, it slightly increases your heart rate which adds to the increased blood flow throughout your whole body. As we are made up mainly by water something like in excess of 90% is water, the fluids in our bodies are neutral (or nearly neutral) in weight. Our fluids then identify with the water in the spa (natural buoyancy) which means that the pressure of gravity on our circulatory system is very much reduced. This has the effect of making the distance between your heart and your feet much less. Although in reality, of course, this is not the case.

The blood that the Chinese medicine doctor's call stagnant (really slow) is now able to move much more freely and it does so because of open capillaries (heat), and buoyancy (water).

There is however one very thing that one should do to get the full benefit and that is to let go and just relax. Then the beneficial benefits of Hydrotherapy and Hydro massage help to provide respite and healing. Simply the blood flow is now in your body and not in your head, and your mind can start to slow down and relax and be in a more peaceful state.
