[S118]Save Water And Electricity
by Shahid46 Shaikh46, Sha
It has proven scientifically that if 10% of the total population of a country installs water tanks, the country can save a lot of water for the future. This is evident as it is noted that almost 30% of the precious water is used for chores like gardening. Instead of wasting the good water for this purpose, it is better to use the rainwater which can be stored in tanks for this purpose. If you spend some extra bucks, you can easily install the water purifying system which can even convert the rainwater into drinkable water. If you are a conscious individual who is aware about the critical condition, then you can install a tank. It is not only for the good of the earth. You will be hugely benefited from this installation as you will find a drastic cut of 30% in the water bills. Instead of surging expenses you will have a moderate water bill. The logic is simple. If you reduce the water usage by 30% then you will have cut in expenses too. If you are interested to take a virtual tour of Bushranger, one of the premier companies known to manufacture plastic water tanks, you can browse through http://www.bushrangerwatertanks.com.au.

Everywhere we look in our homes we will find electric appliances of all kinds. We need so many of them to help us function more easily when carrying out our daily lives. Many of these electrical items can be found in our kitchens and some in our bathrooms. We use these rooms and the things in them on a daily basis and usually do not give much thought to any danger we could be in if these electrical things come in contact with water.

People are electrocuted by appliances more often than you might think. Many times we may only receive a mild to moderate shock, but even death by electrocution is known to happen. When we have small electrical appliances in the bathroom and large and small ones in the kitchen, it is important that we use them with some precaution to ensure they do not come in contact with water directly.

One mistake that people make in the kitchen can be when cleaning electrical items. Things like toasters, microwaves, blenders, can openers, electric pans, food processors, and any other such thing should always be unplugged before you attempt to clean them.
Even wiping them down with a damp cloth could be hazardous. Electric stoves usually have to be wiped down each time they are used. If you can, you should unplug this as well before any extensive cleaning.

One way to avoid some shocks from appliances is to make sure that the cords you plug them in with are in good condition. They should never have any place on the cord where naked wires are showing through. If the cord were to come in contact with water for some reason, it can short out and ruin the appliance. If you touch the cord it could kill you or at the very least shock you into having it repaired.

In the bathroom, electric items like curing irons, blow dryers, electric razors, and toothbrushes should always be unplugged. If you have small children in the home these items are best stored up and out of reach. Curious kids might plug them in just because they can and accidents happen in the bathroom all too easily. Many people have died because of dropping an item like those mentioned into the bathtub or even into the toilet.

Small appliances might look harmless most of the time and they usually are when we use them correctly and give them the respect they deserve especially if they are any where near a any water.
