[P720]Professional Hair And Makeup
by Steven Hartley, Ste

In the heart of New York City lies the headquarters of a professional hair product that has been one of the leading companies to find a home in professional salons worldwide. Redken was founded in 1960; the name is a combination of the company's founders, Jheri Redding and Paula Kent. Taking the first three letters of both last names, Redken was formed. The company became an instant success and professional hair stylists as well as beauty shops began carrying their products.

There is no doubt that Redken was a pioneer in the hair care industry and they brought awareness to the professional hair care industry regarding the health and well being of the client's hair. In fact, they patented the process of using protein in hair care products for the strengthening and rebuilding of the hair structure; a process followed by other hair care brands worldwide. Today, Redken continues to lead the way and their line of hair care products is extensive as well as high performing.

Redken's professional line of shampoos, conditioners, and styling products are formulated to protect and enhance hair's natural as well as chemically treated colors. Natural hair needs products that will increase the amount of natural highlights, but in particular, hair that has been bleached or color treated needs extra special care. By using products that are too abrasive or contain harsh chemicals, the chemical process on the hair may be stripped. This process hinders the appearance of your hair color and will cause fading.

Another important product line designed by Redken is the All Soft. All Soft is specifically formulated for those who have experienced dry, dull, damaged, brittle, or flyaway hair. Using a special blend of protein and amino acids, the line nourishes hair while restoring essential moisture. The All Soft line is highly regarded as a high performing solution to dry, frizzy hair and consists of a wide variety of products. The line consists of shampoo and conditioner along with a heavy cream for additional deep moisturizing and penetration, and special goodies such as Silk Fuel, Soft Velvet Whip, and Gold Glimmer. The Redken Silk Fuel contains silicone to increase the amount of shine on the hair. It is a deep conditioning product that is left in the hair for up to ten minutes before rinsing.

The Redken Velvet Whip is a therapeutic product that is applicable for all hair types. The Velvet Whip actually prevents split ends and prevents any damage from occurring to the hair shaft through heat-based products such as blow dryers, flat irons, or curling irons. Simply apply the Velvet Whip to your freshly washed hair after towel drying it. This is a leave in conditioner so you work it through your hair, you can use a wide tooth comb and simply comb it through, and then let your hair either air dry or blow dry it. This provides a great barrier for your hair and will also reduce the amount of frizziness that you experience and will increase your hair's strength and vitality.

For this reason professional hair care products are available in huge variety. The products that promise to make a change to your existing hair are always in great demand. It seems that women in particular are never satisfied with what they've got but always want to 'improve' upon it. Nature gives them curly hair and they want it straight and vice versa.

If you check the local salons, you will encounter a ton of professional hair care products. You may even think there are too many. Well, not with the way they sell this stuff. The funny thing is that you can go to your drugstore down the street and pick up some hair products for a fraction of the cost, but people simply don't want to. They demand the best. Professional hair care products offer them that feeling of perfection. Not only did they get a professional cut and style, but they use the best products available.

I know I keep on saying it, but it seems true that women especially want as many professional hair care products as they can get. And one of any particular type of product is seemingly never enough, they want several. They just can't get enough variety.

The fragrance can be what attracts you to a new hair care product. You just have to be careful, if it is a particularly strong and long-lasting fragrance that it doesn't clash with any perfume of body spray that you intend to wear. It's not only lotions, ointments and sprays that are on the increase in the hair care world. There are an every-increasing number of hair care implements and tools that seem to be joining that old mainstay, the hairdryer such as curling tongs, hair straighteners and heated rollers.

For both men and women there are an awful lot of hair styling products available. Hair sprays, gels, mousses, wax - many more than were available just a few short years ago. Whether you favor sedate, traditional styles or something more 'stand out in the crowd', there'll be plenty of professional hair care products out there to enable you to get exactly the look you're after.

I should imagine it's now just about completely impossible to crave a hair care product that's not available. Whatever it is you want to do with your hair I'm certain there's a product available that will be just the job.

Look around on the Internet for some ideas as to what hair care products you want and I'm sure you'll be struck by the packaging. The ad gurus are certainly well aware that in a crowded marketplace first impressions count for an awful lot. They certainly seem to be burning the midnight oil a lot these days to try to outdo each other in the tantalising packaging stakes. The success or failure of the hair care product they're being paid to promote might just depend upon it.
