Quick weight loss is possible. Everyone knows that. But the challenge is keeping the pounds and inches off. And that takes the right mental attitude and social support. I've worked with hundreds of people who want to lose weight fast, but the most successful ones - the ones who keep the weight off - are the ones who have the correct disposition before starting.

I recommend the following three mindset tips for permanent weight loss:

Surround yourself with the right people for quick weight loss.

You need to understand that you will need to make some different lifestyle choices to keep the weight off. And that may very well mean not be able to socialize with others who can be a negative influence. Research was recently completed that showed you are more likely to adopt your friends eating habits and body image by hanging around them. So that means if 4 of your 6 friends are overweight and eat like crap you are more likely to eat like crap and start to gain weight to match them as well. The same is true if 4 of your 6 friends were thin and ate healthy. You are more likely to follow their habits. So make sure you associate yourself with like-minded people. Your successful weight loss depends on it.

Don't expect it to be easy.

While losing weight doesn't have to be a chore, you need to come to grips with the fact that it is going to take effort. Anything worth doing never is. Accept the fact there will be some tough times ahead. That is why it is so important to surround yourself with positive people. They will help support you when you face obstacles. Remember each day is a new day and you should take it one day at a time for quick weight loss. Start each day with your goals in mind and a plan to achieve those goals for that day. Don't lose sight of those goals and keep working towards them each and every day.

Don't expect the rapid fat loss results to last forever.

The rate at which you lose fat will eventually slow down because your body will just have no more fat to lose. The challenge now becomes how do you maintain your new quick weight loss and keep it from returning. I teach many people how to lose weight fast, but most importantly I teach them how to keep it off for a lifetime. Many diets can get you to lose the weight, but the key is to keep the weight off. Make sure you make the proper lifestyle changes so that you create permanent weight loss and never have to diet again.

On top of every new mother's list is to shed any excess weight gained during pregnancy. While you may have lost some 15 pounds during childbirth, you may still feel disappointed to see yourself unable to squeeze yourself in your pre-pregnancy clothes. Don't despair. I have easy tips for losing those unwanted pounds safely.

Let your legs do the walking. Most doctors allow some form of exercise immediately after childbirth. But because your body has gone through a lot of trauma during labor and delivery, you'll have to lay off the high impact and weight-lifting exercises for now.

You'll be happy to note that health professionals do not subscribe to the "no pain, no gain" mantra of heavy exercisers. Walking regularly, whether at a leisurely or brisk pace, has been recommended as an effective way to keep your body's ligaments, tendons and spine moving. Get into the habit by walking a short distance and then by gradually increasing the area covered.

A minimum of ten minutes a day will already yield results and the ideal time spent walking is 30 minutes daily. Avoid walking on steep areas until your O.B.-Gyn gives you the go-signal to engage in it.

Eat Healthy

If there was only a few weight loss tips and guides available for teenagers and others, the most important one would surely be to eat healthy. Check the intake of things like fat, protein, sugar and caffeinated foods in order to improve your overall health and help you in your drive to lose a few pounds for a special occasion. In fact, if you make a conscious effort to always eat healthfully, you may find that you no longer need to go on endless diets. Instead, you will maintain your desired weight within a few pounds of what is appropriate for your height and body type.

Walk

Walking more is one of the best weight loss tips for teenagers. In fact, just as for adults, movement--active enough to get the heart rate up and the blood flowing. Because adolescents are normally functioning at a more efficient rate from a metabolic standpoint

Drinking eight 8 oz. glasses of water daily will flush impurities from your system. Ever wonder where the fat you lose goes? This is it! Flushed from your system with good ol' H2O.

This doesn't require any physical exertion by yourself whatsoever as this is a dietary change every person should be making. The idea is very simple, your body burns calories off of the amount that you took in 2-3 days prior. So if you ate 3000 calories on day 1, by day 3 your body expects you to be eating the same and will adjust itself to burning that amount of calories. The best way to get around watering down your enzymes so that you don't hurt the digestive process (and thus, weight loss) is to drink your liquids 5 minutes before a meal and 10 minutes after.
