Just like dancing a tango or singing a duet, the client and the lawyer must also have that kind of bonding or connection to be able to bring a favorable result for the personal injury case of the client that is being handled by the lawyer.
For the client, he or she must narrate to the lawyer all that had happened. The client should never tell a lie to the lawyer. There must be mutual trust between the client and the lawyer and that confidence must accompany their lawyer-client relationship.
On the other hand, the lawyer should always be direct to the point. He or she must always inform the client of the status of the case. Disclosure of all the information to the client should also be observed. The lawyer must always uphold the client’s rights and interests and should also do all the legally permissible ways to obtain the most favorable settlement or verdict for the client.
Indeed, the relationship between a lawyer and a client is a partnership. It is a partnership that requires coordination, trust and confidence. In order to achieve their common goal of winning the case, close monitoring and participation should be exercised by both of them.
