Everyone has been given a present that is simply horrible. You can donate it to a worthy cause, or post it on www.freecycle.com where everything donated is free to users. You may bury the unwanted gift in a box where you will hopefully never run into it again. Whatever you do please do not dispose of the item.
We all know about re-gifting, a hazardous and often unpleasant practice. Re-gifting is never a acceptable custom. Most importantly if the person that gave you the gift finds out. There are numerous ways to put the gift to use, without the uncomfortable and deliberate re-wrapping and passing of the gift.
1. Make a special gift box. Make sure that you put a post-it note on the item, and secure it with tape telling whom the item is from.
A. Place gifts that are of no use to you in the treasure chest.
B. It is wise to categorize all the items and place them together.
C. Try to give multiples of a like item. Let's say movies. Take the films, and gift wrap them. Include candies, chocolate, or whatever else you want to make the gift go further. If you are giving the films to an adult or family, put in a homemade gift certificate for one night of free babysitting (if they have kids). Regifting, if done properly, can be personal and inexpensive. Make sure that you are not giving the gift back to the individual you originally received it from.
Now those horrible or redundantgifts you have accumulated don't need to go to waste.
