One day, my classmates were sitting in the bench in front of one of our school cafeteria (Our school has seven cafeterias.) when one of my friends quipped: ?I can't believe that we are already seniors. I feel like it was just only yesterday when we entered here as freshmen looking hopelessly out of place.? ?Yeah. I remember you were so thin then. I used to wonder if your parents deliberately starved you!? ?Oh yeah?! How about you? You used to were that silly Che Guevara shirt every other day and when I asked you who is Che, you do not even know who the guy was! Remember what you answered back then? Uh, I think he is a character in Street Fighter! Wahahahaha? Laughter filled the air as we continued our good-natured ribbing. We were quite a fun bunch. Each one is a free soul who had nothing to worry except where will be our next hangout after class. ?Guys, now that we are seniors, I can't wait for us to start our on the job training.(OJT)?

Our OJT is a whole semester event. Being Information Technology students, we are sent to companies that provide telecommunications, networking, programming or multimedia development. We usually sent resumes to as many corporations as possible that have tie-ins with our university. Although we are a state funded university, we are still lucky to have many tie-ins with these IT corporations. But all of these companies are situated outside our city, so we also have to find our own lodging there. But lodging was not our biggest problem: it was corporate suits. ?What? They want us to wear corporate suits? That defeats our freedom of expression!? As a public school, we are free to wear whatever we wanted and that whatever we wanted usually takes the form of varying states of disarray. We dress like the whole school is our house with old worn out shirts and jeans, so corporate suits are like being shackled in solitary confinement.

We whined, begged (We are that desperate) and argued with our faculty, but they insisted that it is the corporations that require corporate suits, so if we want to graduate on time we have to wear one. Besides, they added, it will help you prepare in the real world. People do not go to work dress in termite eaten Nirvana shirt. We knew it was a hopeless case so instead we look for designs that would look good on us.
