Does Anybody Read Your Whole Sales Letter?
by Vikas Sharma, Vik
The first key part of your sales letter is the headline. If you don't have a captivating headline, guess what? Nobody is going to bother reading any of what comes next. The headline, in most cases, can make or break your copy. So you want it to be something that really sucks the reader into your sales pitch. For example, if I were selling a book on how to take digital photographs with lots of tips, I might come up with a headline like, "Discover a Fool Proof Method for Taking Professional Quality Digital Photos." For more detail go to: www.web-sales-letters-supreme.com. Certainly anybody who is interested in taking better digital photos will at least begin to read your copy.

As readers begin to skim (yes, that's what they do) they will then look for other items. One of those is your subheads. The reason is because subheads break up your copy into manageable chunks. You essentially want your subheads to be like intros to the next part of your story. So for example, if I was telling a story about how I went from rags to riches with my own home business, I might start off with the subhead "I Was Dirt Poor" and then move on to "I Discovered Something Fascinating" and finishing with "I Banked $20,000 By My 3rd Month." This is abbreviated, but you get the idea. Each subhead focuses on the next part of your story.

Finally, there is the offer. This is the bottom line for most people. They want to know just what it is that you have to offer. They'll look at the content of the offer For more detail go to: www.10steps-to-killer-web-copy.com. and the price itself. So make it crystal clear to them what they're getting, how much it's all worth and finally what they'll have to pay to get it. A great offer can overcome a lot of flaws in your sales letter.

Point is, many people skim your copy. They don't read the whole thing. So by concentrating on the items that will get their attention the most, you give yourself the best chance of them reading the parts that will ultimately turn them into buyers.
