1. The cheaters feel miserable within the relationship

If we are talking about a woman this is generally the reason. Women trapped into a long unhappy relationship or marriage. For men, things are different - they feel the need of diversity and can't refuse an opportunity because ''they want to live their life to the full!''

2. Affairs mean sex only

Some of them are like this and it is mainly because of the fact that what is forbidden is tempting. Usually, men can have a great sex partner but they also want understanding, support and a shoulder to cry on.

There are cheaters that do it only because they found a person who loves them unconditionally.

3. If somebody cheats it means he/she does not love his/her partner

Yes, it means lack of respect or interest of solving the problems in the couple, but not lack of love.

There are people that consider love different from sex and do not appreciate an affair as something to affect the love life.

4. Sex with the ex is not cheating

It actually is cheating and betrayal of your present lover, even if you once had a relationship with your ex. This relationship does not exist anymore.

5. Cheating does not count when the partner does not know

It counts even if you used protection, even if the person is unimportant to you, or even if nobody knows. Cheating is cheating.
