San Antonio is a lovely city with a fairly moderate climate. This makes it ideal to do just about anything for most of the year. San Antonio loves to have fun and is always ready to throw a party. There is so much to see and do you cannot do it all in one visit.
San Antonio is known for its Mexican Food. Whether you like tacos, enchiladas or fajitas, you can get it on any major street or intersection. You can get Mexican food basically 24 hours a day. San Antonio also has plenty of other types of food including Italian, German and Chinese.
San Antonio has a hotel or motel for every pocket book. There are plenty of national chains and they are near all the major attractions including the Alamo. There are also plenty of luxury hotels and resorts if you want to be waited on hand and foot.
One of the main attractions in downtown is the Riverwalk. It is a lovely oasis in the middle of downtown. There are plenty to restaurants, shops and even a mall on the Riverwalk. You can either walk or take the water taxis that work along the river.
The Alamo is the main downtown attraction and is open every day of the year except Christmas Eve and Christmas. The missions are away from downtown and require a car or cab ride. This is a definite must if you are a history buff. The main mission to see other than the Alamo is Mission San Jose. It is the largest and best maintained.
San Antonio also has two major theme parks, Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Of the two my personal favorite is Sea World because we love the animal shows. Either is great family fun.
San Antonio loves its sports. The Spurs for basketball and the Missions, minor league, for baseball. San Antonio definitely loves its high school football as well as its AHL hockey team the Rampage. There is a sporting event for everyone's taste.
San Antonio is a fun city to live in and visit. There is always something happening and some way to have fun. So come join our fiesta!
