1.Make a list of all your favorite interests and skills. For instance: do you like decorating, are you good with your hands, do you like to read, are you good at managing money, etc? If you have a hard time coming up with things, ask your friends and family. They usually know us better than we know ourselves.

2.Think about the things you wanted to do as a child. Write all of those down, even if you think you can't make money with it.

3.What magazines and books do you always buy? This is a good way to figure out your interests.

4.How much time do you realistically have to put into a business? If you have small kids at home, you're not going to have as much time as someone who has no kids. Be realistic with this. You don't want to burn yourself or your family out.
