Trampolines - My Kind Of Bed.
by Jane Bracken, Jan
So you're jumping for joy at the thought of being able to joyously jump to your heart's content, but have you thought about other uses it might have? How about my favorite one, sleeping? Shoppers beware, it's time to look at trampolines in a whole new light.
As with most things, bigger is better. Thats no different when it comes to trampolines. The bigger they are, the less chance you have to jump off on accident and end up in a funniest home videos contest. This also applies for when you want to sleep on one too.
This wasn't something I was even aware of until a few years ago when my girlfriend and I were at my friend's house. She had a large trampoline in her back garden and we all made it a point to try it out and have some fun. Needless to say that much activity quickly wears you out, and pretty soon both of us, along with my friend and her boyfriend, collapsed on the trampoline in the cold night. I was pretty surprised at how comfortable I was, and I wasn't the only one since we all settled for one small blanket between the four of us rather than getting up and getting a few more from the house. We had a blast with the trampoline, both before and after the jumping, and this was an experience I think everyone should have at least once in their life.
Of course, you wouldn't want to do this all the time. But just like not everyone uses their hammock if they have one, they certainly do like to use it every once in a while, and if I were to buy a trampoline then I think this would definitely be something I would keep in mind. Summer days a lazy for a reason and a trampoline makes for a great excuse to catch a few extra winks.
Whatever your reasons for buying one though, remember that the main reason should be to have fun! That and getting frustrated when you keep missing that front flip, come to think of it thats fun too! Especially when it finally works!
Now, sleeping can be really fun, and certainly comfortable, but you can definitely increase the fun factor depending on who you share the trampoline with and how warmly you dress during those cold nights. Take it from me, it can get pretty cold out there, especially late in the night.
You can also make it even more fun if you start adding things like music to the mix. Trampolines have created some amazing memories for me and have been great in so many situations, like when I donat want to wake people up at night if I come home late. The trampolines waiting, so why not spend the night there!
Only kids could possibly love a trampoline more than the rest of us. They are always exploring everything around them and the trampoline gets about as many giggles and laughter as a carnival. They just seem to go straight for trampolines whenever one is around, and its only a matter of time before they realize how great falling asleep on one is. One things for sure, parents can rest assured that their kids are sleeping sound and safe in their own backyard.
