While the internet is often a great place to find information quickly, it can also be extremely detrimental to a troubled homeowner if given the wrong or misleading information.

Unfortunately, with the resent rise in foreclosures nationwide we are beginning to see more and more fraudulent people/companies beginning to surface. Many of them are surfacing in the form of foreclosure rescue firms. 99 of them are total scams! They don't do anything you can't do FREE yourself! So save your money!

See, I'm going to fill you in on a little secret, the single greatest weapon a homeowner has and the fastest way to stopping foreclosure is to have knowledge of the foreclosure process.

Unfortunately, most homeowners have never educated themselves on the foreclosure process, simply because they never expected it to happen to them.

With that being said, leaning the foreclosure process can be quite time consuming because of the ever changing foreclosure laws. And since time is no longer on the homeowners side learning the process on their own is often out of the question. To make matters worse, each state has different laws and procedures so homeowners need to be aware as to which laws apply and don't apply to/for them.

This is what leads most troubled homeowners to seek help via the internet and/or foreclosure rescue firms.

So what is a troubled homeowner to do?

First off its import to remember you're not in foreclosure, your home is. Don't panic, there is hope for recovery, if and only if you take the proper steps. Taking ACTION now can greatly improve your chances of stopping foreclosure.
