We Are The Sum Of Our Thoughts- What About You Today?
by Martin Cohn, Mar
All of us as people are the result of our daily thoughts. Have you really thought about the meaning of this, and the way it affects the outcome of events in our lives?
It is well worth putting effort into this, as countless numbers of people have written about this phenomenon, and proven its validity. Examples of this can be found in Napoleon Hill's book, Think and Grow Rich', read by millions of people.

In addition, when ever you may wish to accomplish something significant in your life, you will experience a result equivalent to your thinking. As another quote says, if you think you can, you will, and if you think you can't then you won't. This example is also replayed daily in professional sporting events when you may notice a sportsperson imagining the entire event in their mind just before proceeding with their specific sport.
Henry Ford stated that thinking is one of the most difficult processes. It is worth your investment, in the truest sense, as your returns will be multiplied many times over.

Another way of thinking this through is realising that you can only think of one thing at any time, even though we have thousands of thoughts per day. Concentrating on the right thinking and desired outcomes is vital. What do you see? What images of your business dominate your thinking, and your relationships? I ask as these are the things you will gravitate towards.

You will always move towards your dominant thought, as we can only think one thing at a time. You will act as you think about yourself, and behave in your business as you think.
This will manifest in your relationships too. I mention these various points specifically, as even though they may be obvious, the results are specific, and I want to impress upon you the importance of our thinking to insure our success.

This is then able to lead me to point out that we need to eliminate our fears, which are false expectations appearing real. By not being scared, and having the attitude to go for our goals anyway, will do more to move us towards that which we want than almost anything else. In other words, we need to force ourselves to not procrastinate, and move forward by thinking of the result we want.
More often than not, we achieve what we want, and find out the fear was unnecessary and we succeeded anyway.

How many times have you thought "what if"? This is a very unproductive thought process, and hence I encourage we train our minds to think of the desired result, even if we are apprehensive, but by 'going for it' anyway, we will often prevail, and succeed. I also tell people to 'ask for the world, and often end up with at least a country'.
I encourage 'responsible risk taking' in life, as we are only able to move forward when we move beyond our comfort points, and move to a higher level of achievement and success.
