Of course the link they click is a subscription confirmation that takes them to a page where you deliver them a damn good, valuable, free bonus.

And don't be cheap because that person had the gumption to actually pull out a credit card for a product within one of the niches you're looking to corner, and this tells you that this is probably something they like to do and given the right opportunity (from you) there's a good likelihood they'll repeat the process.


EVERYONE NEEDS A GOOD GUIDE
Every product has a weak spot so write up a little guide that fills in some of the blanks. Or produce a quick start guide, which can be just a brief summary of the product you just helped them buy. And if you're really smart you'll fill that quick start summary with affiliate links to the other products you're going to follow up and sell them sooner or later, right?

When I send a customer to a Merchant, that customer is at least 50% mine, so hell yes; I will email them all I want.

For many products, I create my own sales pages, follow up auto responders, etc..

The most expensive activity we engage in as Marketers is first acquiring that new customer, so since you're already spending the money through PPC - unless you just couldn't be bothered - I think it's missing the real profit picture to just pass along those prospects through the funnel for somebody else's gain.

Sure you'll make a few bucks in commission, but what happens when a hit man operating from the "dark side" gets harsh on your gig?

Ultimately you're building somebody else's business for them - you're assuming all the risk while minimizing your rewards - by choice.

Why do that?

You're trading a few bucks for a real business. Keep that up and you'll be serving my latte at Starbucks. It's smart to follow up as the business behind the product - HELLO - YOU ARE!!!

You've got to be aiming to out-business the Merchant, take their work and use it to gain your own customers.
