An Amazing Answer To Atherosclerosis
by Vincent Platania, Vin
Oral chelation refers to the oral intake of a formula known to have “chelating agents" or “chelators" – substances that remove accumulated metals from the bloodstream. These metals come from environmental pollutants; chemicals that get in contact with the air, water or food the body needs. Many objects within the household alone contain harmful metallic elements such as lead and mercury.

But relieving the body of metals is only one of the numerous benefits of oral chelation. This non-prescriptive treatment is also touted as a preventive measure against cardiovascular disease. The chelating agent, Ethylenediamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA) is known to chip away calcium buildup in the circulatory system. Calcium attaches to the inner walls of blood vessels, combining with other substances like bad cholesterol, excess fats and other toxins to form plaque. Plaque, in turn, hardens the arterial walls and restricts the exchange of nutrients, oxygen and metabolic wastes between red blood cells and the rest of the body.

This condition is known as atherosclerosis, and everyone is a potential victim to it. It’s a gradual and pervasive process, often without any immediate and recognizable symptoms until it manifests itself in the form of a heart disease.

Atherosclerosis in itself can grow serious enough to require surgery. But more unfortunately, atherosclerosis can progress to even more severe, and not to mention fatal, complications. It is, after all, the known root of almost every heart-related disease there is.

Since EDTA was found to be effective agent against atherosclerosis, products in the form of solvents and pills containing the chelating agent were developed and brought to the market. But only few formulations are actually efficient: EDTA cannot be absorbed into the bloodstream on its own. It needs to be integrated with natural ingredients so the body doesn’t check it off as a foreign substance and flush it out before it reaches the bloodstream.

The formula known as the Original Oral Chelation (OOC) is the first successful combination of EDTA and natural substances that bring the chelator to its full potency in the bloodstream. The OOC was developed by Harry W. Hersey in 1984. Since its conception, other chelating products have made their own versions of the formula. But the original – and arguably the most effective – is produced and distributed by the company Goldshield Elite to this day.

Most medical institutions counsel against non-prescriptive oral chelation. Surveys, however, indicate a great number of individuals who have found oral chelation extremely beneficial. Taken daily like your usual vitamin supplements, oral chelation has been said to successfully prevent and reverse atherosclerosis, as well as detoxify the body of metals and other metabolic wastes.
