Old Testament:
Chapter three in the Old Testament is Genesis 3; it is composed of 24 verses. Verses from 1-16 are talking about the serpent which was more subtle than any beast (however, the fox for example is more subtle than the serpent, then the story of the sin of Adam and Eve.
Genesis 3 (King James Version)
1) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2) And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3) But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6) And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. 8) And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. 9) And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10) And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

New Testament:
Chapter three in the New Testament is Matthew 2; it is composed of 17 verses. Verses from 1-16 (actually from 1-25) are talking about the preaching of John the Baptist who said to the top religious Jews: O generation of vipers
Matthew 3 (King James Version)
1) In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 2) And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 3) For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 4) And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. 5) Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, 6) And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins. 7) But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8) Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: 9) And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 10) And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

The Noble Quran:
Chapter three in the Noble Quran is composed of 200 verses. Verses from 1-16 are talking about There is no god but Allah, the Self-Subsisting, Eternal Who sent down the Torah, Gospel and Quran. Then the Quran warns those who reject Faith in the Signs of Allah with the severest penalty; and Allah will gather mankind together against a Day about which there is no doubt
[1] Alif Lam Mim. [2] Allah! there is no god but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting, Eternal. [3] It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus). [4] Before this, as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the Criterion (of judgment between right and wrong). Then those who reject Faith in the Signs of Allah will suffer the severest penalty, and Allah is Exalted in Might, Lord of Retribution. [5] From Allah, verily nothing is hidden on earth or in the heavens. [6] He it is Who shapes you in the wombs as He pleases. There is no god but He, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. [7] He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book; in it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are not of well-established meaning. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is not of well-established meaning. Seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its true meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding. [8] "Our Lord!" (they say), "let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure. [9] "Our Lord! Thou art He that will gather mankind together against a Day about which there is no doubt; for Allah never fails in His promise." [10] Those who reject Faith, neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah; they are themselves but fuel for the Fire.
