For a basic introduction to Ray-Ban retro, go for a pair of Wayfarer or Wayfarer-esque frames in a subtle tortoiseshell. Feeling bold? Pick a similar frame but go for a white or a metallic color such as gold.

Scarves can turn a simple and basic outfit into something that is ready to be out on the town. Knit or smooth silky scarves are materials that you cannot go wrong with for any occasion. If you decide to opt for a more textured scarf then you probably want to go with one that is a solid color or a very simple pattern; do not overdo it.
