Becoming an affiliate marketer was once a easy thing to do.
Then it became really easy and really profitable when people
really found out how to do it. Back in the day you could
take a product with some value in niche you were promoting,
set up a landing page (or not even do that), promote it and
watch the money pore in. And if you applied a list building
form in the squeeze page you were not only making sales but
getting sign ups as well.

Lately, though, I have heard some rumblings about if
affiliate marketing is still profitable. There is a lot more
people taking the plunge into product creation and certain
advertising sources that were once getting a lot of people
money has kind of dried up. Times have changed and they
obviously has effect on certain niche markets. But the fact
of the matter is that as times change the marketer has to
change as well.

There is no doubt that you can still make money as a
affiliate marketer but it’s a different game now. There’s is
lot more competition and a lot more info on how to do this
effectively. The average customer is more savvy but at the
same time there are plenty of customers that don’t know what
they want and can be sold anything. It's just harder to see
which is which.

The problem, ultimately is not the state of affiliate
marketing but the actual affiliate marketer. The direction
is blurred between the different trends that’s going on
right now on the internet. Last year it was Blog and Ping,
this year its ppc tricks. How to steal profitable campaigns,
how to spy on your competitors, how to get free clicks on
google are all of the things that newbies will see and
automatically assume that ppc is the way to go. That's just
a lack of research and a case of being lazy.

You can still make a fortune as a affiliate marketer but
you have to create a foundation for yourself. Yes, you're
suppose to take action but only when you know what you are
doing. Have a clear plan for yourself. The reason why people
fail at this is because they treat this as a hobby. This is
a business and other people that have been successful at
this, treat this like their full time business. (Even if
they still have job)

The first thing you should be concern with is building a
targeted list for whatever niche you are in. Without a list
you're not going to make it. Most newbies get attracted to
ppc in the first place because they think its easy and fast.
And even though its fast, its far from easy and there is
limitations to it. Unless you are offering visitors to sign
up for your list, the best thing you are going to get is
front-end sales. With the fierce competition on search
engines its hard to turn visitors to sales, and also keep
your ad spend down.

If you are looking at promoting physical products with
direct linking, you might wanna put that off until you
generate some money first. Promoting high end electronic and
other stuff is a ok move but to start off doing that is
tough. They are usually the toughest to break into since
certain search engines don't like marketers doing direct high either.

In order to become successful as a affiliate marketer you
have to take advantage at all of a possibility of a sale.
Front-end, back-end, oto offer (one-time offer),
time-sensitive products, JV promotions, all of the angles
should be covered. And that take time to understand so let
that sink in first then take action. Then create your
squeeze page and offer a something free to your prospects.
Everybody loves something free. Then research different ways
to promote your landing page. Your landing page should some

Affiliate Marketing is still profitable only if you take
the time to fully understand that it takes a solid
