Over your lifetime you have been bombarded with diet ads, solutions, and tips. With all the contradictory information how are you to answer the key questions to developing hot sexy abs? You crave abs that will make you proud, but how do you need to eat to get the results you are searching for? What is the best ab building diet to follow?
If you know how to raise your metabolic rate with your work in the gym then proper diet will do wonders for you. A proper abs diet can be the key to fast results. Think of it as working smarter not harder.
Mike Geary, personal trainer, suggest that you keep things simple. Forget about all the diets perpetuated by the so called gurus of fat loss. I just saw one of those diet infomercial guys selling a program to increase your credit score. If you are following those types of so called experts you are not going to see great results. Instead of following the next big diet learn the basics and you will find success. A proper balance of foods along with unprocessed foods that are high in nutrients will propel you toward a lean body.
Most foods in their natural state are quite good for the human body. However, the addition of chemical and food additives during typical food processing often kills the goodness of many foods. Our bodies were not designed to handle all of the unnatural processing that takes place today. Many of the foods we eat are causing long term effects like cancer and other major diseases. The more natural the food the better for you. Just because it's a fruit or vegetable doesn't mean its packed with nutrients.
A good ab diet can be had by following these four dieting keys.
* Make sure you take in a large amount of quality protein. Protein is the key to building lean muscle. The body requires a certain number of calories daily to maintain lean muscle tissue. So the more muscle you can build the great amount of calories your body will burn. Our bodies require more energy to consume and process protein enriched foods. In addition the more times a day you eat the more calories you burn. So 5 or 6 small meals versus 3 meals is advantageous to fat loss. Protein also fills you up more and lowers your chances of eating junk food. So as you can see just by eating protein correctly you will burn calories before you even step foot in the gym.
* Take in food high in fiber. Try and take in your carbs from high fiber sources. Foods that are rich in fiber will satisfy your hunger. Natural fiber from unrefined grains, fruits, and vegetables are a much better choice than fiber supplements. It's a good idea to stay away from foods such as sugars and fruit juice. The fiber has been removed from them to make digestion easier. A key cause of body fat struggles is refined grains and sugars. Two to three grams of fiber per ten grams of carbs is a good rule of thumb when comparing food choices.
* Fat - You must consume some fat for proper body function. Some of the fad diets try and eliminate fat completely. This is a mistake as good fat contains vitamins and minerals. The body even needs fat for your bodies cells. Try and get proper fat intake from sources such as nuts, seed, egg yolks, fish, and organic meat.
* Avoid these items at all cost. Sweetened food items which are high in fructose corn syrup. Artificial trans fats which the body does not need. Trans fats are primarily man made food additives found in margarines, shortening, and hydrogenated oils. The easiest way to avoid these damaging substances is to stay away from processed foods.
By following the four keys to a healthy abdominal diet you will take control of your body. As a result of following these points, fitness expert Mike Geary says you will gain control of your appetite, hormone and blood sugar levels, and more. Your lean body will be in reach and those tight toned abs will begin to show themselves.
Diet alone is not going to build you a six pack, but it is a huge factor in getting nice abs. Do not dismiss the importance of diet in your daily regimen.
5 to 6 Meals
One of the top guidelines for a good diet is to drop the idea of eating three square meals a day. This concept is out of date and actually bad for your flat ab goals.
Instead you should eat five to six small meals throughout the day. Eating smaller meals allows you to avoid snacking and allows your body to maintain a constant sugar level. This keeps your metabolism up and keeps you burning away those calories.
Avoiding Certain Foods
There are some things you should just not eat if you want nice abs. Your stomach can become bloated from eating certain foods which makes it round, not flat. Some foods just are difficult for your body to burn so they convert to fat. You want to keep your diet low in foods that bloat, carbohydrates, sugars and fat.
Max Out on This
One part of the diet that is often neglected is protein. Many people avoid protein because they see it as unhealthy. The truth is that your body needs protein to build muscle. You want to build muscle because it urns calories for you even when you are not working out. Additionally it looks leaner than fat.
Eat lean protein that is low in fat. You can get protein form a variety of sources; just make sure you are choosing the right ones. Check the fat content and stick with those low in fat. Make sure you are getting the right serving of protein everyday so your body can get enough to build your new abs.
With these ab diet guidelines you should be able to create a good diet that is easy for you to follow. Make sure that you are getting enough to eat everyday and that you are drinking plenty of water as well to keep your body hydrated. With this combination you will be well on your way to great looking abs.
