Busby SEO Challenge is a SEO Contest initiated by Busby Web Solutions, a company that offers web design and SEO services. It started last June 1 and will end August 31 of year 2008. Like any other SEO challenges, it requires entrants to optimize a certain keyword and for this the key phrase is “Busby SEO challenge” which is the same as the name of the contest.

Objectives

SEO participants will need to make sure that their websites were optimized and rank in Google.com. First, Second and Third positions are the only ranks that will be included in the prize money bracket which are $5000, $3000 and $500 respectively. Aside from that there's a bonus iPod Touch for those who invited their friends to join the said Busby SEO Challenge and made them to join.

Rules

To join the Busby Challenge, interested parties should not use a domain or sub domain that contains any part of the key phrase. Doing so will disqualify the said entry. New or existing domains are allowed for the said contest. Another important rule of the challenge is making sure that SEO practices should be ethical and conform to the recent guidelines of good SEO practice recommended by search engines like Google. Pornographic, illegal and other indecent type of websites as entries or links is not allowed.

Who can participate?

Anyone can enter the Busby SEO Challenge regardless of age, gender, race or even level of expertise. It is expected that SEO gurus and masters from Philippines, France, India, Indonesia, United States and other countries who have been practicing or doing SEO for years. Why did I join?

Aside from the prize, one major reason why I did join the said SEO contest because I want to feel the satisfaction of having accomplished one challenge. I also want to increase the Page Rank of my new paid domain. It is like I'm hitting two birds with one stone with these tasks. Maybe if I will say I don't care with the popularity that one might gain from this contest nobody will believe me so I will then said that popularity is another reason why I like this kind of SEO Challenge. Additional knowledge about SEO and other things is another fine reason.

How to join the Busby SEO Challenge?

You need to sign-up an account to Busby Web Solutions website and then login to your account to register your entries. Entries are considered valid when only registered through this site. Login to your account on Busby Web Solutions and then submit the URL or the website address of your website entries so that the Busby Leaderboard can identify your entries.
