Some Tips On Acne Treatments
by Matthew Stanton, Mat
If Helen of Troys face could launch a thousand ships, I reckon she probably has beautiful radiant skin. No one would consider a person, man and woman alike, stunning if their facial skin is blemished with acne. Ashtons life could have been entirely different if Demi Moores face is blemished with zits and acne. Demi, even at 46 still has a beautiful facial skin which makes her look younger than her age. Skin is definitely a huge factor in judging a persons beauty.

There are hundreds of acne treatment products sold online and in beauty shops. The only question is deciding what product is the most suitable treatment for your skin type. Getting the right formula for your skin could be tricky. First, for all types of skin, cleansing, toning and moisturizing are the correct steps to follow. It is important to maintain a daily ritual for skin care and acne treatment. Choosing skin care products should not be a hit and miss process. Missing the first time could cause you obvious scars in the face. Might as well visit your dermatologist to determine what skin type you have and what the best solutions are for you.

Acne treatment generally requires the following basic guidelines. First is for people to limit washing the face to two or three times a day. Over washing will all the more cause your skin to produce more oil. Avoid heavy cleansing creams. Never wash your face with harsh soaps or cleansers. It would be better to use purse soap with no artificial additives. An antibacterial cleansing solution or lightly medicated soap combined with water rich in minerals is good for your skin type.

It is also unwise to use cleansers with alcohol as it could dry up your skin thus continuing the cycle of oil production in your face. After cleansing, toning will remove every last trace of make-up and dirt from your face. Toners make your pores look like they shrunk creating a finer tone. At this point your skin looks tighter. The final step is moisturizing. Make sure you apply a natural oil-free moisturizer to keep the skin supple and shine free.

It would also be helpful if you can find products with Salicylic acid and Benzoyl peroxide. The former is very helpful in treating acne because of its ability to penetrate hair follicle. It sheds the skin of dead cells, this process is called exfoliation. This reduces the number of pore clogging and thus prevents breakouts on the skin. Salicylic acid products can be bought over the counter and ranges from .5% to .2% in strength. The latter is another helpful chemical which kills the pimple causing bacteria in skin.

While we all have these helpful steps in preventing skin acne, we can never have a blemish free skin if we do not religiously care for it. This means proper hygiene, daily habit of cleansing, toning and moisturizing are significant factors in caring for the skin. If you want to have an Ashton in your life, care for your skin and make it a habit.
