[C464]Cheap Florida Car Insurance
by Elizabeth Newberry, Eli

The Florida Financial Responsibility Law is designed to protect you and others in the event that any of the following situations occur: you cause an accident that results in injuries; your driver's license is suspended for accumulating too many points; you are given a ticket and your license is revoked for driving under the influence; or you are deemed a habitual offender and your license is revoked.

The minimum insurance requirements for the Florida Financial Responsibility Law are as follows: $10,000 Property Damage Liability; $10,000 Bodily Injury Liability for one person; and $20,000 Bodily Injury Liability to two or more people.

The Florida No-Fault Law is designed to protect yourself as well as your vehicle. The minimum insurance requirements for the Florida No-Fault Law are as follows: $10,000 Personal Injury Protection and $10,000 Property Damage Liability.

Florida car insurance requirements are extremely important. If you don't purchase the minimum car insurance requirements in Florida, you won't be able to get a license plate or register your car. If you drive your vehicle without having proof that you've met the Florida car insurance requirements – and subsequently not having a registered vehicle with license plates – you'll have to deal with a hefty punishment. When you're caught, your driver's license will be suspended for three years. After the suspension period is over, you'll be required to pay $150, $250, or $500 – depending on the number of offense – to have it reinstated.

Imagine living three years of your adult life without a driver's license? How would you get to work? How would you go grocery shopping, or take your kids to their after school activities? Florida doesn't offer a hardship license for such situations, so you would literally not be allowed to drive at all for three years.

Do yourself and your family a favor – meet the Florida car insurance requirements.

• Your driving record (number of points, violations, at-fault accidents)

• Your gender, age, and the number of years you've been driving (older females with several years driving experience tend to get the cheapest rates)

• Your vehicle (make, model, year, additional safety and anti-theft features)

• Your location (high crime rate, low crime rate)

• Where you store your vehicle when not driving it (especially important if you live in an area with a high crime rate)

• Your credit history (which may take a year or so to repair if it's not quite impressive)

Cheap car insurance in Philadelphia is affected by these factors, but drivers can change several of them. For example, you can move to a safer neighborhood or begin storing your vehicle in a safer place; purchase a safer vehicle or add safety features to your existing vehicle; and work on improving your driving record and credit score.

You'll just have to wait for some factors to change on their own, though. You'll eventually grow older, and you'll begin to rack up years of driving experience as you grow older. Pennsylvania car insurance companies view older, more experienced drivers as being less risky to insure than younger, less experienced drivers. Don't worry though – once you get a few years experience and age behind you, you'll have a better chance at cheap car insurance in Philadelphia.

One factor can't be changed: your gender. Sure, you can undergo a sex change operation, but doing so in order to get cheap car insurance in Philadelphia? It's highly unlikely this is a route you'll take. Based on statistics, female drivers are safer drivers than male drivers. Don't be discouraged: just because you're male does not mean you can't be viewed as a safe driver, too.
