Have you ever been in a situation that had to do with a lot of rain or flood waters? I myself haven't, but I have seen a lot of pictures and listened to a lot of reports about this problem. What would you do after the flood was over? If it were I the first thing that I would do is make sure that all my family members were safe and accounted for. Some families all live in the same towns or cities. Anything material that you might lose can be replaced, except your family.

The next step would be to find out if I had a home to come home to. This is probably one of the hardest and costly steps that you will ever have to deal with. If your home was totally gone, you would have to find a new place to stay, but first you would have to pay all of your expenses from your old place. Like all of your utilities, home phone, or anything else that had pertained to this old address, and like most places in this day of age, they will want their money all at once.

If you don't have flood insurance, which most people don't, you will be in for the roughest time in your life. This could make or break you financially and spiritually. In some cases you will find friends that you never knew you had. These people will come to your call for help. They will try to help you find clothing, lodging, furniture, and in some cases food.

As in most of the severe cases of flooding, most people will lose everything they own except the clothes on their backs. Some people will lose their cars, too. If this happens they might not be able to get to work. To most people, we think that these companies don't really care because most of the time you might lose this job because they will say that they can't hold your position open for any length of time. Most people don't have credit that is good enough to go and buy a new or used car.

Anytime you hear about people that have been in flood situations you only hear about the big things that will happen to them. Sometimes it's not the big things that will hurt someone so much as the many little things that can really hurt or destroy this family.
