We try to keep our young people from smoking, but try as we might, more young kids are picking up this nasty habit. We tell them of all the medical disadvantages of smoking and all the risks they take by smoking, but the pure pressure from other kids is stronger. The cigarette companies and the government tried to put laws into effect to make it harder for young people to be able to buy cigarettes.

All it seemed to do, however, was to make these young people take them from their parents, or just outright steal them. Then, city officials tried to enforce laws that said that if children under a certain age were caught out on the streets smoking, they would be taken into custody. They would take them to the jail house and the police would call their parents, who will be given a fine. If this child was caught again, the fine would be given to the parents and the child also with this fine being bigger.

What these young people don't know is that smoking will also make subtle changes to their appearances. Their skin will turn to a grayer color, and they will look more older than their years. It can also make their hair prematurely thinner and look to have no life. The more they smoke, then the more it can start making their teeth to fall out because of the lack of circulation to the gums in their mouth.

When these changes start happening, these kids will start to become less attractive to members of the opposite sex. Even worse is that they will become less and less sexually attractive. Sometimes smoking is a very big turn-off to members of the opposite sex and also to one that is already a non-smoker. We have all these items to help us look younger and all of these new medical procedures that require surgery. But these procedures are very costly and if you smoke, you are just blowing your money away.

If you really don't want your kids to smoke, then appeal to their youth. Tell them that if they don't smoke, they might have better chances of landing the girl or boy of their dreams. Tell them that if they don't smoke, they will have a bigger selection to pick and choose from.

If you're desperate, you can tell them that they might even have sex sooner than some of their friends as a last resort. If they would like to take their girlfriends or boyfriends to the movies, they might not be able to do this since they spend all their extra money on cigarettes. If they would like to have better clothes, they would be more likely to be able to afford them.
