Insight Into Acai Research
by Paul Kippersberg, Pau
If you are into healthy foods, you will not want to miss out on the acai berry, pronounced ah-sigh-EE berry. There are many acai research reports claiming that the acai berry is the healthiest foods on the planet. Many celebrities are taking the acai berry and they claim it is their secret to good health. However, there are few acai researches to date.
You may have seen the picture of the acai berry. It is a little, rounded, deep purple berry that is packed with health benefits, so say all the acai research reports in existence. It does not grow, however, outside swampy areas in the rain forests. If you live in Brazil, however, you will be able to find fresh acai berry and eat regularly.
People who drink the acai juice or eat some other forms of the acai berry, even without ever reading any acai research publications, know how much healthier the have become. If they suffer from any pain, the acai berry will ease their pain or make it go away totally. If they are generally weak, the acai berry will make them stronger. These are common effects of the acai berry and no one needs to read an acai research to notice changes in their health.
The University of Florida was among the first to conduce tests and experiments on the health benefits of the acai berry. Their acai research findings were published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. Even though, a normal person wouldn't read this type of Journal, it does not take long before their findings got the media interested. Soon, everyone was talking about the acai berry.
What the University of Florida's acai research discovered was that, at least in the lab, the acai berry caused a self destruct response in cancer cells. 86 percent of leukemia cells tested in the lab were killed or partially killed by the presence of the acai berry. This is a preliminary test on the acai berry and its effect on cancerous cells and nothing was conclusive by any means but it gives hopes to those fighting cancer.
Since the promising results published by the University of Florida, there have been more acai research reports published and many more findings that support the astonishing health benefits of the acai berry. More scientists are paying attention to the acai berry. However, there are still too few researches done on the acai berry to give people more hope.
Acai research has shown that not only the acai berry has the potential of being a cure for cancer, it is one of the healthiest foods on the planet. The acai berry is naturally low in sugar, has the protein structure similar to an egg, is full of nutrients and vitamins and is a great source of antioxidants. The body needs pretty much everything the acai berry contains.
With so many benefits that any acai research would agree, it is not surprising that many people are not taking some forms of the acai berry and many companies are manufacturing acai based products to introduce to the health market. This is why you will see many acai products on the shelves of supermarkets.
