This self analysis could be a difficult thing for you to accomplish, but it will be worth it. The biggest thing to consider is your financial situation and if you can tackle it right now in your life. I am sure you can think of many reasons why you need money and how only a business can help you to accomplish that, but remember that going the direction of starting a business can require capital.

Look at your current job situation and ask if you can leave your job today. Could you support yourself and any family members you are responsible if you do leave your job. Some of you may not even have a job, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't consider alternatives also because you need to make sure that your family could survive for at least four months if you were to start a business.

If you do need to borrow money, what is that money going to be used for? Is it going to be just for your business or is it going to also be for your family members? There is a huge difference when you have to support your business compared to have to support a business and a family at the same time.

What experience do you have with businesses and how have they gone? Have you learned from mistakes and can you be motivated to work every single day if necessary for double digit hours?

Look at other obligations that you have in your life and if you can delegate those responsibilities or minimize them somehow. Remember we all have 24 hours in a day, but you have to enjoy your business while you are getting started. If this is causing more stress than happiness then don't do it.

When you write down all of this information still focus on your goals and don't let the negatives or potential negatives outweigh the positives. There can always be hurdles, but you decide what you do with your life.

These are all questions worth going after and figuring out sooner rather than later. This can save you time and help you plan correctly for your business.
