Third, standing up for long periods of time can also hinder hemorrhoids prevention. This habit increases the pressure on the veins on the outside and inside of the anal area and causes then to enlarge and inflame. Therefore, if you're on your feet constantly, take the time to sit down for a few minutes after an hour of standing.

And finally, being overweight contributes to hemorrhoid symptoms as well. If you're obese, get on a weight loss plan to lose some of that weight because it's putting pressure on various parts of your body. By losing the weight, you'll not only be helping with hemorrhoids prevention but also decreasing your chances of getting many other afflictions.
