Your Unclaimed Cash And How To Find It Simply.
by Izzie Monet, Izz
The total amount of unclaimed money and property being held in this country is now estimated to be over $50 BILLION dollars! That's $50,000,000,000! Most people have no idea there is so much money being held by government agencies.
If you've ever asked yourself "Who owes me some cash"? There is a darn good chance that the state or the Federal Government does. Commercial enterprises and Lending Institutions have to turn over all unclaimed monies to government agencies. All of these businesses and institutions want to get these lost funds to the owners. If they don't it could cost them tons in penalties and service fees. If these businesses aren't careful they could be audited and it could cost them up to $50,000.00 per audit!
It is up to the government, State and Federal, to return the unclaimed funds to the correct owner. This is simply one of the many functions our government has in protecting it's citizens.
The different forms that your missing money can take is lost cash and unclaimed funds from: insurance policies, stocks and bonds, gift certificates, missing payroll checks, bank accounts, unclaimed credit card refunds, and pensions.
So if you feel the Federal Government owes you money or that they may be in possession of money that may belong to you, check it out. There is an old saying " The most money that is ever lost is the money that is left never claimed on the table." That is true. In this instance the unclaimed money is actually being held in a protected location waiting for you to pick it up!
There is less danger in looking for this money than there is in buying Lotto tickets or placing a friendly wager on a football game, but the upside is that there could be thousands of dollars in your name waiting to be taken home .
