BlackBerry RIM 8700c
by Alex Gwen Thomson, Ale
The BlackBerry RIM 8700c hosts a quick Intel processor giving it one of the best in cellphone technology in terms of processing power. When you look at it, there are similarities to that of a Palm Treo. The user gets four hours of talk time and a generous sixteen days of standby time. A lithium ion battery is its power source. This is wonderful if the user is away from home and forgets the charger.

The BlackBerry RIM 8700c has a fairly typical weight of 4.7 ounces with dimensions of 4.3 x 2.7 x 0.8 inches. It has an internal antenna for good reception in outlying areas. The screen display resolution is very clear with 320 x 240 pixels and 65,536 colors. A self-adjusting backlight adds to the luminescence of the screen display. A speakerphone and the capability of plugging in a Bluetooth device add to great hands free options. The large 64 MB memory storage allows users to have plenty of space for saving valuable information.

For users who want to stay interconnected by messaging, the BlackBerry RIM 8700c offers just that. E-mail, texting, and wireless Internet help users to stay connected with the outside world. Data applications can operate and transfer data at high speeds. Business folks will love the ability to fax from the BlackBerry RIM 8700c, which makes the phone ideal for office executives. A calendar, an organizer, and corporate data access offer professionals ways to stay on task and in touch.
