Visiting Javea, Spain
by Nigel A., Nig
Javea has becoming more and more popular among tourists thanks to the British as well as the surrounding Europeans. Although the city of Javea is rather small, during the summer season, tourists and expatriates fill the resorts and the beaches. Javea is a coastal town in Spain where you can find tourists from all over the world that come here to relax and have a good time. The main reason why Javea is popular is because of the almost perfect climate that tourists find here each and every single year.

The city of Javea has a long history and tourists observe this the very first minute they arrive here as the city has very beautiful architecture. It comes as no surprise that the real estate market has greatly developed here in the last few years. The respectable World Health Organization applauds Javea for the great climate, one of the best in the entire world. The town is guarded by mountain on both sides so it has a strong Mediterranean wind protection. The climate is somewhat similar to Florida, USA but not that hot which makes it ideal.

People who suffer from allergies or even asthma may consider the Javea climate as a medicinal one because many tourists affirmed that they breathe easier once they arrive there. Because of this seaside location and perfect weather the beaches here as well as the water sports are extremely popular. A large quantity of the beaches have earned the Blue Flag rating ( which is a European honor bestowed upon only the greatest beaches in the entire world ).

In the past, Javea was a fishing village and even today the city has a very developed fishing industry but the place is known better for the scuba diving, surfing and sailing possibilities when the local water is mentioned. A somewhat new hobby can be developed here; for couples they have kite surfing which is newbie-friendly as well as exciting and a great action sport.

If you do plan to spend your next vacation here, Javea should be visited during the summer time when the water sports are at their peak and it is almost impossible to get bored as the possibilities for a great time are endless. If you are looking for a different type of entertainment why not visit the Viva Espana on the N332, located just outside of Oliva where you can find Andalucian traditional dancing. However on Friday 11th July, 8th August and 5th of September you can witness a spectacular show along the lines of the Jerez horse exhibition.

Another place worth visiting is the Grand Caf? Toscamar which is a great venue that has plenty to offer. Here the owner/fully trained chef Udin can prepare a wide variety of well priced snacks or meals. Here you will find a really friendly atmosphere, good music, tasty food, reasonable prices and more.

All things considered, Javea is a top tourist destination for a couple of reasons: it has plenty to offer: good weather, clean beaches, great food, and lovely atmosphere ? what else could a tourist desire?
