Honestly and sincerely from 6 months onward, you should not as parents and caregivers underestimate the abilities of your baby. *Your child maybe exceptionally gifted, they still have some weakness and may use their giftedness to hide it. As committed parents, emphasis should be laid on their disabilities as much as their abilities.

*Because gifted kids play and interact In a more higher level than their peers, friction and rejection may occur which may force them to play on their own. But playing with their age group or siblings is an essential part of child development for trust and acceptance. So encourage them by providing variety of ages, gifted or not, to play with.

*Your gifted child is easily frustrated by some limitations that confronts them. Allow them to express frustrations and gently let them know challenges should only spur them to overcome some of their inadequacies  at other stage.

*Remember that your baby genius is sometimes one step ahead of you, make efforts in discovering different discipline techniques for proper complex handling.

*Be sensitive and understand that just because your kid is talented does not mean that other children are not special. Orient your child to respect the personality of other children, accepting that everyone is unique and has weaknesses as well as strength.

*Know that your baby has special needs and could be more demanding, sleeping less, pushing boundaries, asking more questions and getting more into troubles. Exercise abundance of patience and seek assistance if you see you can not cope.

*Just because your child is a genius at almost every other thing, does not mean they must be good at the tables. Often times they are poor eaters, selecting food and not finishing their meals. Yours is to patiently explain and convince them that good nutrition is crucial for their healthy development.

*In all things do not fail to keep memories of all your child's initial achievements - first word, sitting, crawling and walking quick achievements, books read etc, to help with later assessment and remembrance.
