Naturism was early popularised in Germany midst the early 1900's. The number of moving naturists, or those who live as nudists, rapidly grew far and near the 20th century, and today there are hundreds of nudist colonies around the globe. From the original groups in Germany to those in the United States, United Kingdom, and other parts of Europe, those who live this mode do so because it promotes equality and freedom among members of the group. While some might look on naturism as being odd, those who live as naturists agree that it is one of the healthiest ways to live.
Skinny dipping is the practice of swimming in a lake, ocean, river, or other body of water without the aid of clothing. Because of the social conventions against nudism and naturism, it's usually difficult to pinpoint suitable locations to delight in oneself locally. Thankfully, legions travel agencies and resorts around the world cater happily to the naturist populations. The southwest of England is a very favourite spot for naturist climbers and hikers.

The criticism also stems from the fact that myriads pornographic websites and publications use naturism as a theme, even if the folk portrayed aren't true naturists. There is a significant difference between naturism and nudity.
Indifferent of society's opinions of naturism and nudism, the fact remains that there are millions of nudists around the world. The main nudist society, based in Hanover, Germany has more than 50,000 members. There are legions such clubs around the world, and there are more than 1 million citizens in the United States who deem themselves to be ?zealous nudists.? This results in a boom to local economies where naturist resorts are placed, and naturist conventions bring millions of pounds to modest isolated towns in England year round.
