We're not gamblers so we immediately went to see what shows were available. One of the personal goals that I had in life was to see Luciano Pavarotti in concert. Pavarotti died so I will not be able to realize that goal. As I was looking through the many schedules of shows in Vegas another name caught my eye. Andrea Bochelli. I couldn't believe it. I have listened to and have much of Bochelli's music and if I could not see Pavarotti then it would be wonderful to see Bochelli.

You know that you've made a very big impression in your field when the billboard promoting your show only has your last name. Pavarotti was one such personality and so is Bocelli. So as I was looking at the show that he was doing in the program I began to wonder how I could talk my 15 year old daughter into seeing an opera singer.

I brought the idea up to Sammie and she said "sure dad, you pick Saturday night and I'll pick Sunday night." Wow, that was easy. So off we go into the show and I'm not sure how Sammie is going to react when the show begins. Bocelli is escorted onto the stage by the conductor of the orchestra, for those of you who may not know Bocelli has been blind since birth, and the crowd lets out a thunderous applause.

The show goes on and Bocelli and his guest singers are phenomenal. It's hard to imagine something so beautiful coming from the human voice. As the show progresses and I watch Sammie and listen to her reaction throughout, it's becoming very clear that she is really enjoying herself. I believe that there is a very easy explanation, passion and energy win fans in any arena.

What a night! Bocelli came back to the stage 3 times for encores as the crowd howled in approval for this incredible talent and his wonderful gift. Both Sammie and I had a great time and we were both glad that we went. It was a very fun father- daughter bonding concert.

What are you passionate about? Can people feel your energy the moment that you step into a room? It's a real gift if they can. If you're not quite there yet than work on it and learn the value of energy and passion and let it flow from you. It'll change your life.
