Trichomoniasis is a common transmitted disease (STD). It is also called ?trick. Trichomoniasis cause by protozoan parasite. Trichomonas vaginalis.It is affects both women and men, although symptoms are more common in women. Trichomoniasis is the most common curable STD in young, active women. Trichomoniasis is transmitted through with an infected person. An estimated 7.4 million new cases occur each year in women and men. Symptoms of trichomoniasis (also referred to as "trich") can appear as early as 4 days after with an infected partner. Trichomoniasis is primarily an infection of the genitourinary tract; the urethra is the most common site of infection in men, and the vagina is the most common site of infection in women.

Most men with trichomoniasis have many signs or symptoms. Some men may temporarily have an irritation inside the penis, mild discharge, or slight burning after urination or ejaculation. Symptoms usually appear in women within 5 to 28 days of exposure.Genital inflammation caused by trichomoniasis can increase a woman's susceptibility to HIV infection. Some women have signs or symptoms of infection which include a frothy, yellow-green vaginal discharge with a strong odor. The infection also may cause discomfort during intercourse and urination, as well as irritation and itching of the female genital area. Pregnant women with trichomoniasis may have babies who are born early or with low birth weight (less than five pounds).

Causes of Trichomoniasis

Symptoms of Trichomoniasis

1.Vaginal discharge.

2.Vaginal itching.

3.Yellow or gray-green discharge.

6.Pain and swelling in the scrotum.

Treatment of Trichomoniasis

Trichomoniasis can be treated with antibiotics, such as Metronidazole and Tinidazole medicianes is give some relief trichomoniasis. Some alternative medicine home therapies are available. This treatment can cause side effects such as mild nausea, vomiting, and metallic taste in the mouth. Persons being treated for trichomoniasis should avoid until they and their partners complete treatment and have no symptoms. Metronidazole can be used by pregnant women. Treatment should be instituted immediately and when possible in conjunction with all partners. Because of the high co-infection rate with other STDs, the healthcare provider should consider empiric treatment for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Patients should also be offered counseling and testing for HIV.
